The first fascicle of Buaraphantha. The story is that while the Buddha was dwelling at the Veluvanna Monastery, Kala Thera who lived in Savatthi asked the Buddha for leaving away for practicing mediation. The Buddha gave him permission. He meditated by following the 32 elements in a cemetery and later attained higher quality in Dhamma. During his practice in a cemetery, there was a couple, husband named Kala and wife named Kali who earned their food from a corps heard the monk chanting. They paid intention to listen to the chanting thus achieved sotapanna (one who has attained the first stage of holiness).

Mr. Thit (ex-monk) Suvan and Sao (Mrs.) Chanpheng had the ardent religious faith to jointly sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Buaraphantha to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
