The text tells the story of the two brothers, Jaransari dan Jaranpurnama, who both try to rescue the daughter of Kinga Mangkurat who has been abducted by Lembu Andana. This typical Cirebon story has a background in the Kingdom of Balambangan after the fall of Majapahit.
