Description of manuscript content:
The text narrates the story of Prince Vessantara, son of King Sanjaya and Queen Phusati, who lives with his wife Maddi and their children. Vessantara owns a magic elephant that ensures rain but gives it away, angering his citizens who then exile him. In exile, he gives away all his possessions, including his children to a brahmin named Jujaka. Indra, disguised as a brahmin, tests Vessantara by asking for Maddi but returns her. Eventually, the family is reunited and returns home in a grand procession.
