Description of manuscript content:
At one time, the Buddha was dwelling in Jeta’s Grove near Savatthi giving a sermon describing the story of Devadatta Thera. Once upon a time, a king named Somphamit ruled the great city of Champa. He had a younger brother, Asomphamit, a Queen, Kaeoketsini, and two sons, Sayasena and Sayadatta. One day, Asomphamit planned to assassinate King Somphamit to obtain the royal throne. Fortunately, a loyal pasha informed the king. Then the king along with the queen and his two sons escaped from the kingdom. They traveled into a forest where they were in danger and experienced much suffering.

I finished copying [the manuscript] in the evening, 2481 BE. I copied this religious manuscript fascicle for Aunt Can. The handwriting is not beautiful and unorganized since I have recently learnt to inscribe palm-leaf manuscripts. Monks and novices who read [the manuscript] are suggested reading [it] carefully.
