Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript describes the time when the Buddha went to teach Abhidhamma (The basket of higher teaching) such as Dhammasaṅgiṇī, Vibhaṅga, Dhātukathā, Pukkalapaññatti, Kathāvatthu, Yamaka, and Mahāpaṭṭhāna, to his divine mother in the Dusita heaven.

ปริปุณณะแล้วยามกองแลง นะวัน 4 แกล่ข้าแล ฯ สกราศ 1270 ตัว ปลีเต่าสันแล ฯ สุทินฺนํ ธมฺมริกฺขิตฺตทานํ ญาว อร(ห)นฺตา มคฺคญานํ นิพฺพาน ปจฺจโย โหนฺตุ เม ทิ นิจํ ทุวํ ทุวํ แล ฯ ตัวค็บ่งาม เหตว่าข้าหัดใหม่แลเจ้าเหิย นายเหิย ฯ [I] finished copying [the manuscript] in the afternoon on a Wednesday in Cūḷasakarāja 1270. Sudinnaṃ dhammalikkittadānaṁ yāva arahantā maggañāṇaṃ nibbāna paccayo hotu niccaṃ duvaṃ duvaṃ. [May the merit derived from making this manuscript support us to become Arahant disciples and reach Nirvana] The handwriting is not beautiful since I have recently learnt to inscribe palm-leaf manuscripts. Remark: The year corresponds to 1868 CE.
