[The writing of this manuscript] was completed at the time of the evening horn, in CS 1199, a moeng rao year, on the thirteenth waxing-moon day of the second [lunar] month, on the sixth day of the week, a moeng rao day as the Tai [say]. The commission of this manuscript Kathāvatthu was sponsored by Mün (official rank) Net and his family to ensure the continuation of the five-thousand-year [era] of the Teachings of Buddha.
Remark: This date corresponds to Friday, 10 November 1837 (1199 Karttika 13).
