The manuscript referred to a manuscript called “Pārāsa” which was originally composed in Sanskrit. Phra Thammasiri from Pagan translated the manuscript into vernacular language, using Yok Sab method (like the Nissaya manuscript). His students, Phra Chaturangkaphon who specialized in the Tipiṭaka and Phra Yanamangkala who specializes in Astrology, brought the manuscript back to Chiang Mai. The manuscript Pāsāra, with elaborate explanations, contains the knowledge in different fields such as Linguistics, Astrology, Astronomy and Math etc.
