Description of manuscript content:
This manuscript is Jātaka or a story of the Buddha’s past life given to his disciples. (Fascicle 6) Suvaṇṇasaṅkha took his mother to King Brahmadatta and told him the truth. The king proved the honesty of his two wives by letting them walk through a burnt path. Candātevī survived but Kòngkham was burnt dead.

ปริปุรนะแล้วยามแถขึ้นสู่เที่ยง วัน 2 แก่ข้าน้อยแล สักราชได้ 1204 ตัว ปีเต่ายีแล ฯ [The writing of this manuscript] was completed at the time of the forenoon horn, on the second day of the week, CS 1204, a tao yi year. Remark: The year corresponds to 1842 CE. The lunar month is not recorded.
Other notes:
The first folio has cracks that were sewn with a bamboo strip. (The left side of the first folio) “Suvaṇṇasaṅkha, sixth fascicle”.
