Description of manuscript content:
The peak of the teaching is the traditional Lao poems and proverbs which is the root adopted from the Buddhist teachings concerning to actions in a proper way. They are short phrases with meaningful, rhymed, impressive and deep. For examples, tham dī dai dī tham xua dai xua (As you sow, you reap).

Folio 4 on the verso side: This manuscript belongs to Chao Mòm (monk) Tissapanya, who had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Nyot Khamson to be used for all lay-persons and priests. In Culasakkarat 1 hundred and 54 (corresponding with CS 1154), a tao chai year, on the eleventh waning day of the seventh [lunar] month, a kap sanga day, the sixth day of the week (Friday), the writing of this manuscript was finished at the time of the sunset horn (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Chao Khanan (ex-monk) Tissapanya is the scribe.
