Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript describes the time when the Buddha went to teach Abhidhamma (The basket of higher teaching) such as Dhammasaṅgiṇī, Vibhaṅga, Dhātukathā, Pukkalapaññatti, Kathāvatthu, Yamaka, and Mahāpaṭṭhāna, to his divine mother in the Dusita heaven.

ปริปุณณะแล้วยาม ๔ โมงเช้า พระพุทธเจ้าสกวราช ได้ 2460 พระวสา เดือน 7 ลง 2 ฅ่ำ ภ่ำว่าได้วันทิต กงกับวันที่ 8 เมสายน พศ 2460 นั้นแล ฯ จุฬสักกราช 1278 ตัว ปลีรวายสี สำเรจแกล่ข้าภะเจ้าแล พระบุญแสง เขียนค้ำชูบอภิตเจ้าน้อยมหาไชย ปางเมื่อข้าภะเจ้าอยู่ปฏิบัตธ่านพระวิไนยธัมม์สาร วัดมนเทียรกี้แล ธ่านทังหลายเหิย ตัวหัฏใหม่ ไม่สู้งามเภียงไรแล ฯ I finished copying [this manuscript] at 10:00 in CS 1278, on the second waning-moon day of the seventh [lunar] month, on a Sunday, corresponding to 8 April 2460 BE. I, Monk Bunsaeng, copied [the manuscript] for Cao Nòi Mahachai during my stay at Wat Monthian in which Monk Vinayadhammasāra was the abbot. I have just recently learnt to inscribe palm-leaf manuscripts, my handwriting iss thus not beautiful. Remark: The date corresponds to Sunday, 8 April 1917 (1278 Caitra2 17).
