Description of manuscript content:
Nagara or Nakhon (entering the city) is the 13th of the 13 episodes of the Vessantara Jataka. The text tells of Vessantara who abandoned his ascetic robe and left his hermitage. The prince dressed in royal attire and returned to Sivi. He ruled his kingdom with royal virtue and died at the age of 120 years. He entered the Tusita Heaven as the male Deity Santusita.

Nibbāna paccayo hontu no niccaṃ nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ May I attain the threefold happiness of which Nibbāna is the ultimate one. I wrote this Chakhattiya manuscript to sustain the religion of the forthcoming Metteyya Buddha in the future. May I possess sharp wisdom. [The writing of this manuscript] was completed on the second waxing-moon day of the sixth [lunar] month, CS 1263, a ka pao year. The sponsor was Yasamut. My handwriting was not beautiful.
