This manuscript narrates the story of a king of Takkasila who moved his troops to defeat several polities (müang). The polities that neglected surrendering to the king were defeated. Most of the cities were fearful to his troops and surrendered, except for Mithilā city. The citizens of Mithilā fought against him to guard their city until they eventually won.
Colophon:
[The writing of this manuscript] was completed on the third day of the week in CS 1253, a ruang mao year, on the sixth waxing-moon day of the eleventh [lunar] month. I am Novice Maṅgala. I am not skillful in writing palm-leaf manuscripts because I am just a novice. I also lost concentration. I wrote this manuscript. May this merit reward me with sharp wisdom. May the merit be transferred to my family members and my teachers. May I be reborn in the period of Metteyya Buddha who will be coming. I wrote this manuscript while taking care of Sawathu Cao Khruba Sommana at Wat Ban Hong Si Bun Rüang Kaeo Kwang, next to a canal. My handwriting was not beautiful because I wanted to hang out. Monks and novices who use this manuscript are suggested being careful. I want to feed buffalos. Just kidding, please do not complain to me.
