This manuscript narrates the story of a king of Takkasila who moved his troops to defeat several polities (müang). The polities that neglected surrendering to the king were defeated. Most of the cities were fearful to his troops and surrendered, except for Mithilā city. The citizens of Mithilā fought against him to guard their city until they eventually won.

[The writing of this manuscript] was completed at the time of the morning drum in CS 1253, a ruang mao year, on the fourteenth waning-moon day of the tenth [lunar] month, the third day of the week, a moeng met day as the Tai say. Novice Jayamaṅgala wrote this manuscript while taking care of Sawathu Cao Khruba Sommana at Wat Ban Hong Si Bun Rüang. May the merit derived from writing this manuscript be transferred to me, my family members, and my teachers. May I possess sharp wisdom. May all my wishes be fulfilled. My handwriting was not beautiful and not consistently organized with big and small letters. I just followed the original. Please consider the manuscript. My handwriting was not beautiful, just moderate, because I am not an expert in writing palm-leaf manuscripts.
