Description of manuscript content:
Vanṇabrāhmaṇa eloped, one day, with Bimbasena, King Brahmadatta's daughter, and took her away on his flying hamsa. During their flight, Vannabrāhmaṇa was stranded on an island while Bimbasena, left alone in the jungle, gave birth to a boy. The child was found and adopted by the king of Käsi. Bimbasena walked all the way to Kasi and took refuge with the keeper of the parc. Only after many years had passed, could Vannabrāhmaṇa be reunited with his family.
Colophon:
[The writing of this manuscript was completed] in CS 1213, a tao cai year, on the fifth waxing-moon day of the twelfth [lunar] month, the fifth day of the week. Monk Paññā wrote this manuscript. The handwriting is totally not beautiful. I wrote the manuscript by myself. Monks and novices, please do not laugh at me. May I have sharp wisdom to understand all the 84,000 Dhamma collections. I learnt to inscribe palm-leaf manuscripts during my stay of assistance to Sawathu Cao Luang Gandhā.
