Puggalapaññatti is the sophisticated high-level Dhamma defining regulations and elevations of humans’ minds: minds of those who cannot refrain defilements, minds of those who can refrain defilements sometimes, and minds of those who can completely refrain defilements.
Colophon:
[The writing of this manuscript] was completed in BE 2473, CS 1292, a kot sanga year, on the fifth waxing-moon day of the first [lunar] month, the seventh day of the week, corresponding to 27 September. I, Monk Mahāvaṃsa, wrote this manuscript to sustain the continuation of the Teachings of the Buddha to last until [the end of] 5,000 years. May the merit derived from writing this manuscript be transferred to my father named Tha who passed away.
