This manuscript describes the time when the Buddha went to teach Abhidhamma (The basket of higher teaching) such as Dhammasaṅgiṇī, Vibhaṅga, Dhātukathā, Pukkalapaññatti, Kathāvatthu, Yamaka, and Mahāpaṭṭhāna, to his divine mother in the Dusita heaven.
Colophon:
I inscribed this manuscript at Ban Hong. This Abhidhamma-piṭaka manuscript was sponsored by a monk brother and I, so that the Teachings of the Buddha could be prolonged until [the end of] 5,000 years. I wish to attain the threefold happiness of which Nibbāna is the ultimate one. I wish sharp wisdom in order to achieve all responsibilities in human and heavenly worlds. I, Novice Dhanañjaya, inscribed this manuscript on my own.
Nibbāna paccayo hotu me niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ.
