This manuscript is a Jātaka or a story of one of the Buddha’s past lives given to his disciples. (Fascicle 4) One day, God Indra transformed himself to challenge the king of Bārāṇasī with a polo game. The king and his six sons-in-law were unable to defeat the god. Suvaṇṇasaṅkha was thus ordered to compete with the god, and he won. One day Rajaṇā burnt his cicada costume. The king witnessed the real appearance of Suvaṇṇasaṅkha and promoted him to be the new king.
