Maddī or Princess Maddi, the Vessantara’s consort, is the ninth section and 12th fascicle in the Vessantara Jataka. When Princess Maddi goes away for fruits. As she is returning, she finds her way barred by three fierce animals including a lion, a tiger and a leopard. Having known that Jūjaka was away with her two children.
