Monk Mahāvaṃsa wrote this manuscript by himself for Buddhism in expectation of gaining the Enlightenment. Nibbāna paccayo hotu me anāgate kāle niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ. In CS 1297, a dap khai year, on the eighth waxing-moon day of the twelfth [lunar] month, the fifth day of the week, in early afternoon, Monk Mahāvaṃsa finished writing this manuscript by himself at Wat Si Bun Rüang Ban Hong, the southern part of Li district (khwaen) in Hariphunchai.
