Sometime later, Sirinanda married khyv Gam, a yakṣa's daughter. One day, he freed ayn2 Gam, daughter of the king of Benares, who had been abducted by a vidyadhara, and brought her back home. Realizing that Surinanda had accumulated many merits, the king of Benares had him ascend the throne.
