Description of manuscript content:
Sakkapabba or Sakkaban (the section on Sakka or Indra) is the tenth section of the 13 sections of Veassantara Jataka. The content mentions about Sakka or Indra transformed as a Brahmin and bagged Princess Maddi from Vessantara. Vessantara gave Maddi to the Brahmin. Then the Bramin gave Maddi back and also eight blessings to Vessantara such as may the people of the Sivi city forgive him and invite him to back home.
Colophon:
[The writing of this manuscript] was completed in CS 1225, a ka khai year, on the fourteenth waning-moon day of the twelfth [lunar] month, the first day of the week. Monk Surinda wrote the manuscript with his own hand during his stay of assistance to Sawathu Cao Luang Chaiyawut at Wat Ban Hong Kaeo Kwang, near the main road. May the merit derived from writing this manuscript support me, my family members, and my teachers. Nibbāna paccayo hotu me metteyya santike anāgate niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ.
