Chaliaochalat gave several stories to the king of Champa: a story of two swans guiding a turtle to a pond; a story of three men who learnt and became royal sons-in-law; a story of a very small and narrow path reaching Nibbāna.
Colophon:
Iminā dhammarikhittadānaṃ nibbāna paccayo hotu me niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ
[The writing of this manuscript] was completed at the time of the forenoon horn, in which novices had prepared lunch for monks, in CS 1266, a ka mao year, on the eighth waxing-moon day of the twelfth [lunar] month, a Sunday as the Mon say. Khanan (ex-monk) Teja from Ban Tha Dòk Kaeo wrote this manuscript with his own hand. May the merit derived from writing the manuscript support me and my family members. May I possess sharp wisdom, ability to understand the 84,000 collections of the Dhamma, and freedom from all kinds of sickness. I, Nan (ex-monk) Teja, wrote the manuscript for Khruba Sommana at Wat Ban Hong Luang and to sustain the continuation of the Teachings of the Buddha until [the end of] 5,000 years. I wish to attain the threefold happiness of which Nibbāna is the ultimate one.
