[The writing of this manuscript was completed] in CS 1289, a moeng mao year, on the ninth waning-moon day of the tenth [lunar] month, the sixth day of the week. May the merit derived from writing this manuscript reward me with sharp wisdom. Nòi (ex-novice) Chu wrote the first part of the manuscript and I wrote the second part. My handwriting is totally not beautiful because I have just recently started to learn how to write palm-leaf manuscripts. May this merit be transferred to my family members. I wrote the manuscript during my stay of assistance to Sathu Cao Mahāvaṃsa.
