In a previous life, Phaya Chüang was born as the son of King Chunda Papphataraja. He offered honey to an individual Buddha and, because of that, he became the emperor who ruled the Videharat kingdom.

Folio 12 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat hundred and 54 (corresponds to CS 1154), a tao cai year, on the first day of the waning moon of the eighth [lunar] month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), a ka pao day, [the writing was finished]. Saen Kua Phò Manyui, Phò Sichan together with his wife and Mae Hamtun had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Mahanithan Phayachüang to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccaya hotu dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana, certainly).
