Description of manuscript content:

Phaya Lung Süm ruled the Kingdom of Gnoen Yang. When the situation in the city deteriorated, the king consulted with his ministers. They all agreed to invite a viceroy Phaya Chüang to fight against their enemies because Chüang was one of Phaya Lung Süm’s nephews. They also agreed to promote Chüang into the city ruler of Ngoen Yang if he could manage to conquer in the battle. Then they send a group of ministers to invite the viceroy Chüang to their city with the promise that they would reward him with their kingdom.

Folio 25 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat hundred and 54 (correspond to CS 1154), a tao cai year, on the first day to the waning moon of the eighth [lunar] month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), a ka pao day, Phò-òk (Buddhist layman) Mun together with his wife and children had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Mahanithan Phayachüang to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccaya hotu (May this be a condition to reach Nirvana).
