Description of manuscript content:
Yanthun Thesana or Yandun (ill omen) for preaching is the text describing the virtue and power of Abhaya-paritta (the danger-free protection). It contains descriptions of unlucky portents, omens, disturbing bird calls, distressing astrology and nightmares, dissatisfaction causes. May all these be destroyed by the power of the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Sangha. Recitation and listening to the Yandun are believed to be protective against all dangers. The Yandun is also used for chanting to make holy water for sprinkling at a house ceremony.
