This is the third fascicle of the story of the Bodhisatta who was born as Mahosot (the one who has powerful medicines), the son of Sirivatthaka and Sumana, a wealthy merchant in Mithila City. When he was born, he clasped a medicinal herb in his hand that caused a painless birth-giving for his mother and could cure every sick person. When Sirivatthaka placed and smeared the medicinal herb on his forehead, his headache immediately vanished. At the age of seven, Mahosot demonstrated his great architectural talent. Throughout his childhood his wisdom grew. With his excellence, he was one of advisors to King Vitheha of Mithila. When King Vitheha, died Mahosot moved to Varanasi (present-day Benares) and became the advisor to King Chulani Prommathat.
