The text narrates that while the Buddha was staying in Savatthi, Sayaghabba Thera made intentional emission of his semen by lust. Later, Udayi Thera made intentional emission of his semen by catching a woman in an unseen place. When the Buddha realized this, he called the two monks for inquiry. After the investigation, he found that it was true. The Buddha blamed the two monks and prescribed the first Sanghadisesa (offences entailing initial and subsequent meetings of the Sangha).
