When the Buddha was staying in a temple in Kosambi, two groups of monks were always arguing about which philosophy was right. The Buddha attempted to settle these quarrels, but the stubborn monks continued to argue among themselves. Then the Buddha decided to retreat from the temple and to set up camp in the nearby hills of the Rakkhitawan forest where he was served by an elephant and a monkey. The elephant offered fruits and water, and the monkey offered the Buddha honey.
