While the Buddha was dwelling in Kapilavatthu, he delivered a sermon to his disciples describing Dāna (alms-giving) and Sīla (morality). The results of alms-giving and observing the precepts depend on the practitioners. Those who wish to gain lokiya (mundane) results such as becoming a king, an affluent, God Indra, Brahma or an emperor, their wishes are regarded as carelessness because they follow their own cravings. If they wish to gain lokuttara (supra-mundane) results such as Nirvana, then they are regarded as careful.

Sao Nya and Ai Pai (mother and son) had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Munlanipphan to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the benefits derived from this merit support my parents and all siblings.
