The text explains the way of mindful-ness in the Satipatthāna (foundation of mindfulness) on Kāyānupasana (con-templation of the body). Satipatthāna is the establishment or arousing of mindfulness, as part of the practice leading to detachment and liberation. Mindfulness regarded as physical bodies consists of in-and-out breathing, minding four postures, mindfulness and clarity of consciousness, reflection on the 32 parts of the body, analysis of the four physical elements and cemetery meditations.
