The first of four fascicles of Nyot Dhamma (the peak of the Dhamma) or Cundasukarika Sutta was written in Pali. The text is popularly read by a monk in the nyot tham ceremony which is organized in a monastery or a house to gain merit. The text describes the merit derived from paying homage to and listening to Cundasukarika Sutta as Dhammika Bandit did before. Due to the power of the merit, a miracle of lighting happened in Tavatimsa heaven. When God Indra acknowledged it, he sent Mataliputta to bring Dhammika to the heaven and asked him about his practice.
