Description of manuscript content:
The fourth fascicle of Cundasukarika Sutta was written in Lao and narrates Matali Devaputta who took Dhammika Bandit to the Tavatimsa heaven. God Indra invited him to stay but Dhammika did not want to live there because he wanted to accumulate merit. Then he descended to the human world.
Colophon:
Folio 11 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1260, a moeng hao year, on the tenth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh [lunar] month, a tao si day, the second day of the week (Tuesday), at the time of the morning drum (9:00–10:30), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Sao Pu had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Chunthasukarikasut to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccaya hotu no (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana).
